Kolber was previously employed by CBS Sports and Fox Sports. As a Pennsylvania native, Kolber received her graduate degree at the University of Miami. Her first job was as a video coordinator for CBS Sports in New York City. She won an Sports Emmy while working at WTVJ-TV Miami. She was also employed by WPLG-TV in Miami and WPEC-TV located in West Palm Beach, Florida. She was selected as anchor on ESPN2 in 1993. The station was her home for ESPN2 for three years, before resigning for Fox Sports. After returning to ESPN in the year 1999, she is now the host of a show called 'Monday Night Countdown.
